MCM 2 by Tim Hurst reflects the artist's love of all things Mid-Century Modern.
From the artist:
"I love the forms and colors of the 60's and 70's artists and designers. With MCM 2, I tried to incorporate some of those forms while including a dash of the contemporary. The colored aluminum pieces almost look anodized although they are much shinier and they give this piece a more updated look. I have MCM 2 hanging in my house and it looks great."
MCM 2 is made of welded steel rods and flats with painted aluminum inserts. The frame is finished in hammered silver metallic enamel. MCM 2 is a very bright and lively piece without overwhelming its surroundings. It would look great hanging in an entry or beside a television or aquarium; the possibilities are up to your imagination. You could even hang MCM 2 outside in a sheltered area.
